Missoula is located in between mountain ranges in the Bitterroot Valley, which is often described as the “Banana Belt” of Montana. It’s not Key West, but temperatures here are a lot warmer than east of the Continental Divide.
World-class fly fishing
You can fish the Clark Fork right outside our doors, or travel a few minutes to the Blackfoot or Bitterroot rivers. Those “in the know” might point you to the lesser-known Rock Creek.
A happening downtown
The River City Roots Festival in late August is just one of literally hundreds of downtown events every year. Many of these are held in Caras Park, which is adjacent to the our downtown Missoula hotel.
